At 8PM, we accompany Sergeant Howie to a mysterious Scottish island in response to a missing child report- but Howie gets much more than he bargains for in his quest to complete his duty, instead becoming transfixed by the strange customs by which the inhabitants of Summerisle carry out. As the villagers prepare for May Day, the sergeant is confronted by increasingly foreign pagan practices, testing his tolerance for the arcane as a conservative Christian, growing repulsed by their flippant attitude regarding sex in their fertility fated rituals.
